Yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis).

How to prepare it your way

Tereré

Tereré

  1. Fill the cup or the guampa (horn cup) two-thirds full with yerba mate for tereré.
  2. Add the bombilla and pour in very cold water, with ice, from a separate pitcher.
  3. Add lemon slices or mint leaves to the pitcher, if you like.
  4. Drink and repeat: tereré holds up through many rounds without losing its freshness.

Water: Ice-cold, with ice

Gastronomy and industry

  1. In the kitchen: use yerba mate matcha as a green seasoning in pasta, sauces and desserts.
  2. In beverages: concentrated infusions of yerba mate with no fine powder make syrups and bases for mixed drinks and sodas.
  3. In industry: we supply cancheada and made-to-order grinds, in bags or big bags, with a spec sheet.

What this yerba mate does for you

Calm vitality

Plant composition

You take the first sip, and the vitality builds slowly and stays, without the spike and crash you get from coffee. It's the leaf's natural caffeine (about 70 to 80 mg per 150 ml cup) together with theobromine, the same substance found in cocoa. In the mate gourd, the cup or the latte, the effect is the same: a day with more presence.

Yerba mate is a food, not a medicine. The information on benefits is educational, cites scientific sources and is not a substitute for the guidance of health professionals.
