Cultyvada Nativa

Chimarrão

Cultyvada Nativa

Medium particle size

Everyday yerba mate: smooth, deep green, and it goes a long way, in the gourd or the teapot.

Leaf from mature branches, medium grind with just the right balance of leaf, stems and fine powder. The result is a smooth chimarrão with a firm foam, one that lasts a whole thermos without going weak. If you're going to try only one Cultyvada, start with this one: in the gourd, in the infuser or as cold brew. Want to keep it longer? The same Nativa comes vacuum-sealed: the Cultyvada Premium, Gran Oro gold medal at the 1º Mundial de la Yerba Mate.

Ingredients

Yerba mate (Ilex paraguariensis).

How to prepare it your way

Chimarrão

Chimarrão

  1. Fill the gourd two-thirds full with yerba mate.
  2. Cover the top with your hand, turn the gourd on its side and shake it lightly: the fine powder rises and the yerba mate settles at a slant, forming a wall.
  3. Pour a little warm water into the low side and wait half a minute for the yerba mate to swell.
  4. Slide the bombilla into that same side, with your finger covering the mouthpiece, and don't move it again.
  5. Top it off with water between 65 and 75 °C. Boiling water burns the yerba mate and washes out the flavor.

Water: 65 to 75 °C

What this yerba mate does for you

Calm vitality

Plant composition

You take the first sip, and the vitality builds slowly and stays, without the spike and crash you get from coffee. It's the leaf's natural caffeine (about 70 to 80 mg per 150 ml cup) together with theobromine, the same substance found in cocoa. In the mate gourd, the cup or the latte, the effect is the same: a day with more presence.

Clarity for what matters

Plant composition

Studying, working, driving, talking with full attention: yerba mate is the companion of anyone who needs to stay present for hours. Caffeine helps with alertness and reaction time, which is why yerba mate sits on the table across half a continent.

The leaf's natural protection

Plant composition

Yerba mate leaf is naturally rich in polyphenols, especially chlorogenic acids, at levels comparable to green tea. These are the compounds that research links to protecting cells against oxidative stress. Leaf from a mature branch, like ours, holds more of them; in yerba mate matcha, you consume the whole leaf.

Yerba mate is a food, not a medicine. The information on benefits is educational, cites scientific sources and is not a substitute for the guidance of health professionals.
